The Virtual Forest
Collection
|
Thanks for your interest in the Virtual Forest Collections Volume I and II.
What is the Virtual Forest
Collection?
The Virtual
Forest Collection Volumes I and II are collections of 100 highly detailed
realistically modeled 3D trees specifically designed for use with Corel Bryce.
Each collection contains 50 trees each, in a variety of styles. Every tree in
each collection is unique and individual, allowing you to create highly
realistic natural foliage in your Bryce scenes.
As an avid Bryce user and lover of landscapes, I was frustrated at
the literal absence of high-quality, realistic plants available for use with
Bryce. As I began creating trees and plants for my own use, I began to realize
that thousands of others shared my plight.
Finding yourself in the same situation?
Here's the answer......
What makes the Virtual Forest
Collection Unique?
Each tree in the
Virtual Forest Collection comes to you in the Bryce OBP format. That means that
you don't spend countless hours importing files, texturing each component, then
adding it to your preset folders. You spend time doing what you enjoy best...
creating your unique works of art in Bryce.
The Virtual Forest Collection was created BY a Bryce user FOR
Bryce users.
Almost every other 3D tree and plant package available comes in
universal formats like OBJ, 3DS, and DXF. This means you BUY the models,
and you still end up doing a lot of work to have a usable
product.
Every tree in the Virtual Forest Collection comes pre-textured, as shown in the
images on the Gallery
pages. Not only is the texturing pre-done, but most of the models are below
64,000 polygons, which makes them extremely Bryce-friendly when it comes time to
render. A select few of the trees available are larger models for when that very
complex, highly detailed tree is worth the overhead.
Who Should Buy the Virtual Forest
Collection?
Everyone from the casual hobbyist to the serious
artist can find the Virtual Forest Collection of immense value to their Bryce
efforts. Sure, Bryce comes with a few trees initially, but it doesn't take long
to reach the limit of what you can do with few limited models available.
If you've spent any time at all looking at the Bryce art in galleries like Renderosity
and 3DCommune,
you realize the difference between images with stock Bryce objects and the high
quality images that contain 3rd party models.
Okay, Okay ... I'm Sold! ....
What's the Cost?
As someone who uses Bryce as a hobby, I understand how
frustrating it is to find something as useful as the Virtual Forest Collection
only to see a price tag that's well beyond your pocket change and saved-up lunch
money. With that in mind, the Virtual Forest Collections are priced accordingly:
| Number | Title | US Cost (incl s/h) | Int'l Cost (incl s/h) | CD Format |
| VFCD-001 |
Virtual Forest Collection CD Volume I (1 CD) |
$17.50 USD | $20.00 USD | Windows 95, 98, 2000 |
| VFCD-002 | Virtual Forest Collection CD Volume II (1 CD) | $17.50 USD | $20.00 USD | Windows 95, 98, 2000 |
| VFCD-003 | Virtual Forest Collection CD Volume I AND II (1 CD) | $22.50 USD | $25.00 USD | Windows 95, 98, 2000 |
